Gift Guide!

Hi! Welcome Back to my blog. Happy December 3rd! I always find gift guides are so helpful because buying presents are so hard and these products below are very basic ideas which I think a lot of people will enjoy and get use out of and they all range in prices so it really an be for anything.

Firstly from Lush the “LUSH Christmas Box” for £17 and the LUSH Snow Fairy Box for £30. These are all very good for most people because they are quite basic ideas but most people will appreciate them and they are high quality. The snow fairy box especially are great for people who love pink and sweet scents.

Another thing that is a trendy present in skincare is a Rose Quartz Face Massager, if you know someone who loves skin care and being in with the latest feminine trends it is a perfect gift. So many people want things like this but aren’t willing to spend money on it which is why it is a perfect thing to get someone for Christmas, you can get a huge range of different quality and they range in different prices but this link is a mid/low range one for £25, which is still a lot of money for something so simple but it is a very cute gift for someone when you are a little bit of a budget.

A much more luxurious skincare present is the Precious Minerals Collection by Omorovicza, which costs £250, which is a lot of money put if someone you love is obsessed with skin care and you really want to treat them with amazing quality products these are some beautiful products that are extremely luxurious.

Fragrances are a very cute idea for Christmas as they can be as personal or impersonal as you want and they can be as expensive as you need them to be, they can be in many forms as I would class candles, perfumes, body sprays all as fragrances so they really can be for anyone and everyone. A cute one could be the Ariana Grande trio mini gift set from Superdrug which is £20 and a really good affordable present for many people and especially for people who love Ariana Grande but are more mature than something like a calendar or a sweater.

A beautiful perfume that isn’t too expensive but is nice for someone if you can’t afford to spend too much money on them, the Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb perfume, depending on retailers and size the price range can vary but they are usually around the £50 mark which (in the grand scheme of things) is not that much and it is a really gorgeous perfume and it can be used all year long as the scent really fits any season. we’d

My final for this is a bit of a broad range but : Candles. In my opinion a few nice quality candles can never go wrong. Or you could get them some wax melts. These will mostly be appreciated anywhere as people love having a nice smelling house but they can sometimes be an unnecessary expense, you van treat someone you love to a few high end ones, or get some cheaper minis and use them as a stocking stuffer.

I think makeup can be often hit and miss at Christmas but if you know someone loves makeup I am sure they’d appreciate these things. I love the brand Too Faced so I think the “Let It Snow, Girl” Makeup Gift Set for £46 is a nice gift if you want to get them some high end makeup but not spend an extreme amount of money on makeup. Too Faced have other small makeup items that are not limited edition for the Christmas season but I think they’d be a nice idea for stocking stuffers, especially the minis they have.

If you know that someone loves makeup, but are not sure what product to get them makeup accessories, like brushes are a nice gift idea as I am sure that anyone who does makeup would use any brush they are gifted. There are a wide range of prices for brushes but if you want to treat someone the ZOEVA Complete Brush set for £105 (Cult Beauty) is a nice gift as they are high quality and a nice, luxurious gift on its own. The set has 15 brushes so it makes the pretty high price tag quite worth it.

Another gift that I think is a nice idea if you are unsure on what makeup product to get someone is a certificate to get their makeup done/ a lesson in makeup. It is nice especially, if you can support a small or local makeup artist and they usually aren’t too expensive so if you did know what products to buy you could create a cute box with it included and giving someone a nice night and the experience of having their makeup done.

I don’t now strictly what this gift could come under but as it is PJs I thought I would include it in this part. If you have a very girly girl who love Victoria secret, the Victoria secret satin PJs in the iconic white and pink for £75 off the official website is a very cute idea. They are very high quality and look very pretty, they are also a thing many people wouldn’t particularly buy for themselves because they can be quite a lot of money to spend on your PJs but they would definitely get their use out of.

Another random accessory that I always see being advertised by influences and honestly think are so stunning! The Daniel Wellington watches, personally I think that the “Petite Dover” (£87) one is my fave but a lot of them are honestly so stunning and won’t break the bank.

Another cool thing that I think everyone could use and it comes in different colours is the Instax Mini Link which connects to your phone and prints pictures out in the shape of a polaroid camera shape they are £89-£100 so one of the more pricey items but it is such a good present for literally anyone especially if you want to spoil them.

Christmas Tag!

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog!

Happy 2nd of December and the second day of #Blogmas. For the start of this I thought I’d do a Christmas tag to start it off really simply and start my festive posts. Learn more about my favourite festive things now! If you do a similar tag, let me know!

What’s your favourite Christmas movie?

Love Actually makes me so happy, honestly I think it is the perfect film AND it is set around Christmas so how can you not love it?? Also Hugh Grant.

Have you ever had a white Christmas?

Yep, but not recently, that is what happens when you live in the north. I think I had a few weeks off school once when I was younger which is very fun.

Where do you usually spend your holiday?

At home with my family as a lot of us live very close together, we have quite a basic Christmas and never travel anywhere.

What’s your favourite Christmas song?

I love “Santa Tell Me” by Ariana Grande – which is quite a basic choice but it is a bop! I also love all the other basic ones because they just put me in a good mood and everyone knows them so they have been played constantly in my life.

Do you open any presents on Christmas eve?

No. We have never been one of those families and I always wanted a Christmas Eve box but I have never had one. Last year we got PJs on Christmas Eve which, I guess ,counts.

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?

We don’t really have specific traditions except going to Christmas Mass with the whole family and getting dressed up for it, which is always fun.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

We have a fake one which is so much better than a real one because it doesn’t die and it’s needles don’t fall off and ruin the room it is in. The only con about the fake tree, though, is the Christmas tree smell which is gorgeous and missing from our house.

What’s your favourite holiday food/treat/sweet?

Chocolate…. I think I can count that as a holiday treat because I eat so much more around this time ad there is more available. Quality streets, celebrations and chocolate oranges are some of my favourite chocolate ever and they are festive I think. To be honest I love most food – Christmas dinner is one of my favourite parts of the whole festive season.

Be honest. Do you prefer giving or receiving gifts?

I love being spoiled and spoiling other people so – BOTH!

What’s your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

I think everyone would possibly have this as one of their dream holidays BUT I would love to spend Christmas in New York

What’s the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?

When I was younger getting a beautiful pink guitar will always stay with me because I was so happy when I got it. It didn’t come in that handy though as I stopped learning after a little while, whoops.

Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?

I am actually awful, I have to apologise whenever I give gifts to people.

What makes the holidays special for you?

It’s just a beautiful time filled with happiness, friendship, love and food. It is just magical and I love it. It is the only good thing about the cold weather. Spending time with loved one in this season is just amazing and the world can get so busy so it is lovely to take time to relax and enjoy it with people you love.

Thank you for reading! If you enjoyed I would love it if you would like this post and follow my blog and come back everyday the rest of December for #Blogmas!!

November Recap

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since I have published a blog post and it is because of so much stress and then finding the motivation to start again so I have chosen to attempt Blogmas this year so that I am finally writing again!

A recap of the last few months :

Mainly I have been obsessed with the new musical &Juliet – What would happen if Juliet didn’t kill herself??

I would recommend it to everyone and anyone who likes any pop songs, it gives such a new take on Julebox musicals and is songs only by the most underrated person Max Martin and i guarantee you love some of his songs without knowing who he is, you should google him!!

Quiz Clothing

I have been obsessed with Quiz for ages but recently it is my go to shop especially for winter it has the most beautiful sweaters and pinafores (which has been another obsession these past months) and the quality is incredible – honestly I just think it’s super underrated and it shouldn’t be!

Another thing I’ve been obsessed with and so behind on is Grey’s anatomy – honestly I’ve just been binging it for the past months and finally caught up recently (the first seasons were better, that’s just the truth) thank you Amazon Prime

That’s all for my main obsessions recently! I tried to keep it as simple as possible, if you have read this thank you so much you should follow my blog to see the rest of the posts this Blogmas!! Thank you so much,

Summer Lipsticks!

Summer is right around the corner and I am so so excited for it to be lovely weather and all of the amazing stuff summer has to offer us. I also love the new range of makeup that is open to us all when it is in its warmer months. The makeup is more light and colourful and I really enjoy being able to wear pink lipsticks!! So in this post I will be showing my 5 favourite lipsticks/ lip glosses to wear in summer.

MAC Retro Matte Lipstick- Relentlessly Red

This lipstick is so gorgeous, it is a stunning pink/red matte lipstick and it is stunning. I really like matte looks even in summer because you do not have to worry about the colour coming off. An added bonus, the packaging is so simple and beautiful and it smells like cake!!

NYX Butter Gloss- Maple Blondie

This lipgloss is so fun! It is extremely cheap and an amazing quality. The colour is gorgeous and pink but it is not too bright and is lovely and glossy but it does not leave a sticky feeling on your lips. I like the variety of NYX butter gloss colours because there are so many and loads of lovely ones for summer!

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid- Electric Pink

This liquid lipstick is so bright and stunning and I love the vibrance of it and I think it is such a staple lipstick. It gives me such a summer vibe and I really love how good the quality looks and it is a very good price for what the quality was.

Revlon Colourstay- Sorbet

This is a stunning lipstick which is more of a lip balm, it is very moisturising but it is also pigmented. There are a variety of colours but this one is my personal favourite because I think that it looks the most vibrant- I also love how it is such a good price.

Collection Cream Puff- Candy Floss

I have had this for ages, and for such a small tub it has lasted ages! It so so moisturising and it has a really good colour pay off. It is extremely cheap and amazing quality, I love the colour of this one because it isn’t too vibrant but it is still a gorgeous pink colour! I could not recommend this one more!

Thank you so much for reading! Please like it if you liked it haha!! Love, Niamh Xx

Morphe Palette Review – 350M

I love eye-shadow palettes! Where makeup is concerned they are probably one of my favourite things to buy because there are just so many and there is such a huge variety of differences: brands, formulas, and colours! My friends and family now this as well, so I often get them for my birthday. One of those being this palette: the morphs 350M!

The morphe palettes range from £10 – £40, depending on which size you get and whether it is a cola with a makeup influencer!

They all have very sleek, black, matte packaging and they have white lettering with the word “MORPHE” on it. The size of the packaging is pretty big as the palette has 35(!!!!) different colour pans in it. Compared to the size of the palette it is very light so although it would take up a lot of room in a suitcase- it will not add much weight to it.

The 350M has 35 nude matte colours, so it is perfect for people who need a more subtle palette in their collection or like working with simple colours – although there are a few reds and oranges that make a perfect smokey eye. Sadly they do not have any names so I can’t pick a favourite but I do love some of the milk chocolate colours.

I really like the quality of these shadows because they all blend extremely well and are very pigmented but are also very build-able, I think it is the perfect gift because it can suit everyones needs!

Overall, I really like this product because I think it is very simple and gorgeous, but I think that it is not the best eyeshadow palette to buy if you want more varied colours.

Thank you so much for reading,

Love Niamh Xx

Theatre Tag

Hi everyone! I thought this tag would be quite different and interesting because although I do often do tags they aren’t usually on this topic. If you wanted to do this tag please feel free and comment your link so I can read it!!

What was the first musical you ever saw?

I think it was probably Mama Mia or Footloose with my mum and cousin when we were younger.

What was your favourite musical growing up?

I didn’t really have one specific one but I used to like listening to Les Mis with my auntie, and I religiously watch the film adaptation so probably Les Mis.

Were you ever in a musical?

I was in my school productions in year 7 and year 8 which were grease and return to the forbidden planet, but I realised I had no talent for it and I actually did it for the time off school so I stopped.

What was the first musical you saw in the West End

It was Hamilton last summer! It was amazing

If you could be any female character in any musical who would you be?

I have such a long list of people but my main ones would probably be all the queens in Six: The musical, because I think that all of them have incredible songs and stories and I think it would be absolutely incredible to be in an all girl company. Also Angelica from Hamilton because she is such a powerful figure, and Jenna in waitress because I wish I had that talent.

If you could be any male character in any musical who would you be and why?

Probably Aaron Burr from Hamilton because I just want to preform “The room where it happened” because it is iconic!

Favourite musical song to sing in the shower?

Whipped into shape because that song is so fun and upbeat, get down because I think it is such a good song to scream to, defying gravity because no one can hear my awful attempts. I also have a lot more but I don’t want to go too over the top!

Who is your favourite musical theatre actress?

It would definitely be Vicki Manser who was in Bat Out of Hell but is now in Six, she is a swing and she is extremely talented it blows my mind! She is the sweetest person ever and basically an angel because of how inspiring and kind she is! She has covers on youtube if you want to see how incredible she is!

Who is your favourite musical theatre actor?

If I am honest I don’t necessarily have a favourite but I have a lot of love to the men of hamilton because they are all so incredible and so talented!

Favourite film adaptation of a musical?

I love Les Mis because I think it made me so much more into musicals and I can tell I am going to adore the new In the Heights movie that is coming out soon!

Most overrated musical?

Definitely phantom or lion king I don’t know why I just do not like them and do not et the hype

Which musical made you laugh

There are a lot of aspects in Six that make me laugh because it is just so funny, I also think that Cabaret has a lot of funny aspects to it.

What musical made you cry?

Hamilton and Les Mis! Every. Single. Time

Which musicals are you dying to see?

Top of my list are Come from away, Waitress and & Juliet but I have an extremely long list.

All time favourite musical?

Hamilton! Always, because it means a lot to me in more than it just being a show but also as a show it is extremely brilliant and I could not tire of watching it.

Thank you so much for reading! Love, Niamh XXX

Stagey Day Out In London

Hello everyone!! Sorry for not being so active I have been sooo busy!! So I was in London – again- to see a musical- again. Whoops??

We arrived at 11:30 and got the tube to leicester square so that we could wander around the theatres and visit the theatre cafe, which was everything!! If you love theatre you need to go, and in June they are opening a bigger one!

We stayed in there quite a while and then at around 12:30 we walked all the way through to Victoria, it was a gorgeous day and the walk was lovely because we walked past Buckingham palace.

Then we got to Victoria and got to the stunning Victoria Palace Theatre, where Hamilton is!

We were sat in the grand row B and our seats were amazing! Everything was so visible and nothing was restricted at all! Next time I am stalls B and i cant wait to see it for a third time so close up!!

The show was incredible as always and i would highly highly recommend, the details from the costume – choreography- lighting – set and everything else is impeccable and I am so lucky to have seen it again! I absolutely adore theatre so I will hopefully get more opportunities to write about it!!

Thank you soo much for reading I really appreciate it! Love, Niamh Xx
